Case 1, image 1: This 23-year-old man man died of a gunshot wound of the head. Autopsy revealed a contact gunshot wound of the head with the entrance on the right and the missile retained within the left side of the brain. The entrance wound had a marginal abrasion and marked soot deposition with subjacent internal skull beveling.
Case 1, image 2: Abundant soot deposition on the epidermis and within the dermis.
Case 1, image 3: I think I was able to capture some unburned gunpowder particles. They are crystalline structures.
